Samina Nelson, Counseling Intern

Samina’s kindness, hope, and faith-filled wisdom will encourage you toward the changes you seek in your life. She will help you feel seen, heard, valued, and understood. Samina is open to working with a wide variety of clients and has a special interest in helping men and women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, and helping people discover their God-given identity. Samina has a passion for empowering clients by facilitating inner healing, hope, self-discovery, and wholeness. She creates safe spaces for clients to express themselves while asking the questions that will help them grow in their identity, self-worth, emotional resilience, and healthy relationships.

Samina grew up in South Dakota and moved to Summit County in 1996 in search of adventure and her life path. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Regis University with highest honors and has nearly completed her Master of Arts in Counseling in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary. She has enjoyed being a longtime local of Summit County and loves being a mother of two teenage daughters.
